More than half of the Gaza Strip’s essential supply of medicines and 29 percent of the medical supplies in Gaza have run out according to the Ministry of Health. The majority of depleted supplies include drugs for dialysis, heart catheterization, and open heart.
Protests first began on March 30 in retaliation against the United States’s decision to move their embassy to Jerusalem, a move which reinforces Israel’s occupation of Palestine. Thousands of Palestinians have protested against the Israeli regime resulting in the deaths of more than 123 Gazans and hundreds of injuries. Israeli soldiers have fired upon unarmed civilians and reportedly targeted ambulances using gas bombs.
