Extreme Weather in Europe Could Kill 152,000 a Year by 2100

Scientists have once again forecasted a gloom outlook for the state of nations in the darkening cloud that is global warming. By 2100, extreme weather in Europe could kill up to 152,000 people a year with heat waves as the main culprit. The report by the European Commission’s Joint Research Center also found that two in three people would be affected by disasters by 2100, against the current rate of one in 20. The report comes as the U.S. notified the U.N. it’s intention to withdraw from the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement, one step in the wrong direction.
