Poll: Climate Change, Cyber Warfare and ISIS Biggest Threats to World

A new poll by the Pew Research Center has revealed that climate change is tied with ISIS as the most-feared security threat across much of the world, except the U.S. where cyberattacks are considered a greater danger than global warming.

In the U.S., just 56% of respondents identified global warming as the most serious threat to the country while 71% thought cyber warfare and 74% for Islamic State attacks. Due to the partisan divide, there is a large portion of America who don’t see climate change as a threat.

Far-right parties in Europe such as the AfD in Germany and National Front in France recognize climate change as a legitimate scientific fact, compared to the U.S. where Republicans have sought to debunk climate change in order to make more money through fossil fuels.
