Putin To Cut U.S. Embassy Staff

In retaliation to the recent passage of a U.S. sanctions bill, Putin announced on Sunday that the U.S. embassy in Moscow will cut its staff by 755 employees.

On Friday, it was revealed that Russia would reduce the embassy’s staff, but Sunday was the first time that Putin addressed the issue and made a final decree. Putin told Russian state-controlled media outlet Rossiya 1 that Russia had run out of patience waiting for relations with the U.S. to improve.

Putin will have to keep waiting if he wants relations between the two countries to improve if Russia continues to meddle with other nation’s elections.
