U.N. Accuses Saudi Coalition of Deadly Migrant Boat Attack off Yemen

The United Nations have released a report outlining an attack of a Somali migrant boat off Yemen conducted by Saudi Arabia-led military coalition. The coalition has denied striking the boat in the Red Sea near the port of Hodeidah, which killed 42 people and injured 34 of the more man 140 people onboard.

The U.N. report details how a 7.62mm caliber weapon from an armed utility helicopter shot the civilian vessel, arguing that the Saudi Arabia led coalition forces are the only parties that have the capability to operate armed helicopters in the area.

The Saudi led coalition supports the Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and is fighting against Iran-backed Houthi rebels.
