European Commission spokesman, Margaritis Schinas, said on Monday, “We are following the draft bill on Russia sanctions with some concern, notably because of its possible impact on the E.U.’s energy independence.”
If Donald Trump decides to sign the Russian sanctions bill, there is no doubt that the E.U. will retaliate with trade barriers or less co-operation, further isolating the U.S.
