In an interview with The New York Times last week, Donald Trump expressed his disapproval of Attorney General’s Jeff Sessions recusal regarding the Russia investigation. Trump told the NYT that had he known Sessions would recuse himself, he probably would not have picked him for the job.
On Monday, Trump told members of his administration that he has contemplated the idea of replacing Sessions with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani who was a staunch supporter of Trump throughout his campaign. Giuliani had many controversial policies as mayor of NYC including the stop-and-frisk policy which targeted minorities and did not lead to a major decline in crime rates.
