Before he is expected to testify in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee on Monday, Jared Kushner released an eleven page statement defending himself and the Trump administration against any possible ties to Russia.
Kushner does not deny that he attended a meeting at Trump Tower in June 2016 with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya who was supposedly asked to provide damaging information about Hillary Clinton. Kushner said he arrived to the meeting late and it was “time not well-spent.” Lets put this meeting between Trump administration officials and Russian citizens with Kremlin ties all together.
First, the Trump team stated that the meeting was about a Russian adoption program. Then, they admitted the meeting was set up to find dirt on Clinton. And finally the Trump administration said it didn’t matter that they met with a Russian lawyer because she didn’t provide any damaging information on Clinton. So we should all totally believe anything the Trump administration tells us because they’ve been so transparent the whole time, nope.
